The maker of the newest accessory for our GMC truck really did think of everything, right down to the nitty-gritty details of fishing a bolt through a blind hole and including a trick little tool to make it easier. That’s not always the case when installing an accessory. Often times it can be a frustrating matter of trial, error, rework and refit. Not this time! The ACCESS ORIGINAL SLANTBACK Roll-Up Cover was all access right down to the smallest details.
Not since Little House on the Prairie have we been so fond of a Pioneer family. The Pioneer 500, 700, and 1000 all have their unique uses but they share one very important feature; they’re all infused with a healthy dose of Honda DNA. Each is outstanding in their own way and recently we had an opportunity to ride all three and try out new features.
Story and Build By Kris Wedekind From KDUB Kustoms
I grew up riding dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, quads and 4X4’s in the desert. As I got older, starting a marriage, a family, and two companies took all of my time and then some, but it was hard not to miss the riding and the dirt toys of youth. It was time to get back into the sport but with the current responsibilities to family and employees I would need the protection of a roll cage.
An old expression comes to mind when it comes to the subject of choosing an ATV for a young rider. “It’s like shooting fish in a barrel”. Your choices are far from limited. The problem is that while there is a large pool to choose from, there are very few that are worthy of taking up the space on your garage floor. You can’t pick up a weekly auto-swapper magazine without seeing the ads for no-name 50, 90, 110, or even 125cc youth ATVs, many of which can be had for less money than a monthly payment on a new diesel pickup.
On the Trail or in the Showroom, ODES is Charging Ahead
When Mike Smith, President of Odes UTV, invited us to Dallas, Texas to attend their Odes National Dealer Training Expo we were very enthusiastic. This would be an opportunity for a behind the scenes peek at what transpires between a manufacturer and the actual dealerships in the Industry.
Winter can feel like the longest season in Pennsylvania but today we were going to make our escape. We were headed to north Georgia for some sunshine, southern hospitality, and for a spring trail ride at the countries best theme park for off-road lovers, Durhamtown Off-Road Resort.
Cub Cadet Introduces Two Feature Packed 2017 Challenger Models
We’ve always liked the Cub Cadet Volunteer Side x Sides. They’re tough, dependable, and they get the job done. When Cub Cadet let it slip they were getting ready to introduce two new Side x Sides that were to be crossover models, bridging the gap between work and sport, we were doubly intrigued. Any time we can probe the details of an all-new machine and then get it on the trails is a great day.
Aggressive Riding and Hard Work Equal Machine Stress: Here's How to Protect your ATV or SXS from a Breakdown
My wife's aunt and uncle, who own a farm in North Dakota, exemplify the typical ATV or SXS owner. Their stable of machines is used to round up cows, herd sheep, inspect miles of fence line, pull a trailer loaded with firewood or other supplies, and, of course, pin the throttle through a muddy slough or across a freshly cut soybean field to blow off steam. And that's just in one day.
Regardless of our trail destination, one concern that comes up on every trip is transporting our gear safely and securely. We’ve tossed gear in the back of our truck, strapped it to our ATVs or Side x Side, and loaded down our trailer, but you always have that nagging wonder if it will arrive safe and dry. Not anymore.
