Fisher’s ATV World Returns to Shoot Velocity Channel Episode at Spearhead Trails’ Mountain View System October 12th & 13th

PAUL, VIRGINIA -October 4, 2013 –  Fisher’s ATV World, a nationally syndicated outdoor adventure television show will be in St. Paul, VA on October 12th and 13th to film an episode featuring Spearhead Trails’ OHV trail system. The trail system was featured last year by Fisher’s as a “sneak peek” of the system, which opened this June. Show hosts, Brian and Melissa Fisher, will do a “meet and greet” from 10:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m. at the Mountain View trail system trailhead located adjacent to Maggie Way Campground in St. Paul. The show, currently airing on the Outdoor Channel, will move to Velocity after the first of the year. The Spearhead Trails episode will air during the summer of 2014. 

Local vendors, tourism offices, businesses and others will be on hand to help celebrate Fisher’s visit. The Wise County Christian School will be selling biscuits and gravy for breakfast and a bbq or hot dog plate for lunch. Progressive Insurance will be on hand providing information on ATV and recreational insurance. Other vendors include Army National Guard, Lunatec LED Lighting, Clinch River ATV Rentals, Mud Slingin’ ATV Rentals & Trail Side Assistance, O’Quinn Trailers featuring its new line of toy-haulers, Dickenson County Chamber and Tourism, Spearhead Trailblazers, and Mountain Motorsports. Vendorswill be offering give-aways, items for sale, and displays of some of the latest advancements in OHV technology. 

Saturday evening activities, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Maggie Way Campground, will feature a local music jam lead by Charlie Engle and Meagan Clay, bonfire and free marshmallow roasting and smores stations, (while supplies last) sponsored by Food City. It is rumored there may be some surprise musical guestsso everyone is invited to attendand enjoy the camaraderie. 

The mission of the Southwest Regional Recreation Authority (SRRA) is to develop and manage multiuse trails in the Southwest Regional Recreation Area to stimulate, enhance and sustain economic development and job creation through entrepreneurial opportunities in Southwest Virginia.
