New at Summit Racing: Generac Portable Generators

Let there be light—and refrigerators, power tools, computers, and hundreds of other things that run on electricity—wherever you need it with a Generac portable generator. As the biggest manufacturer of home backup generators in the world, Generac puts that know-how into its line of portable generators. They’re ideal for camping, race trailers, and powering shops not hooked up to residential electricity, and can serve as emergency backups if the power grid goes boom.

Summit Racing carries several models of Generac portable generators with AC outputs ranging from 800 watts to a whopping 17,500 watts.

GP Series Generators
GP Series portable generators are ideal for race trailers and pit areas, camping, and even power tool use. They feature a gasoline-fueled OHV engine with splash lubrication, a large-capacity steel fuel tank with an integral fuel gauge, and an automatic low oil level shutdown to protect the engine from damage. The generators have a strong hardened steel tube cradle, a fold-down handle, and heavy-duty “never-flat” wheels. The GP Series generators have up to four 120 volt outlets and two 240 volt outlets depending on model. All outlets are covered and circuit breaker-protected with a choice of plug configurations.
Available AC Output Ratings: 1,800, 3,250, 5,500, 6,500, 7,500, 15,000, 17,000 watts

iX Series Generators
Generac iX Series gasoline-fueled portable generators are available in 800 and 2,200 watt AC output ratings—perfect for tailgating or camping. They use a microprocessor-controlled inverter to provide clean, stable power for sensitive appliances and electronic devices. The FlexPower feature lets you choose between ‘High’ mode for large loads and battery charging or ‘Eco’ mode to save fuel and reduce sound levels. The iX Series generators have one 120 volt outlet; a housing that fully encloses the unit to dramatically reduce noise; an automatic low oil level shutdown to protect the engine from damage; circuit breaker-protected outlets; and LED status lights.

LP Series Propane-Fuel Generators
The LP Series portable generators are ideal for shop use and home emergency backup. Propane has several advantages over gasoline: it’s reliable, essentially non-toxic, and won’t degrade over time so it can be stored indefinitely. The generators have an OHV engine with splash lubrication and an automatic low oil level shutdown to protect the engine from damage. An integrated fuel tank holder can accommodate a 20 or 30 pound propane tank (not included). Other features include four 120 volt and one 240 volt outlet with covers and circuit breaker protection; a quick-access enclosure which detaches in a snap for easy engine maintenance; never-flat wheels; and a fold-down handle.
Available AC Output Ratings: 3,250 and 5,500 watts

XG Series Generators
The XG Series portable generators feature Generac’s OHVI engine with full-pressure lubrication and an automotive-style oil filter to improve engine life. An illuminated LED control panel has a PowerBar output monitor and an hour meter to help you track usage and monitor maintenance cycles. Other features include four 120 volt outlets and one 240 volt outlet with covers and circuit breaker protection; large-capacity steel fuel tank with fuel gauge; single touch electric start; battery with plug-in charger; and a heavy duty full-wrap steel tube cradle.
Available AC Output Ratings: 6,500, 7,00, 8,000, 10,000 watts

Summit Racing also carries Generac manual transfer switch kits, power cords, and generator maintenance kits, plus residential and commercial power washers.
