Oskar Blues Brewery, the original craft beer in a can, offers eight unCANventional beers including Dale’s Pale Ale, Old Chub Scotch Ale, Pinner Throwback IPA, Deviant Dale’s American IPA, G’Knight Imperial Red IPA, Ten FIDY Imperial Stout, Mama’s Little Yella Pils, and Gubna Imperial IPA.  For the 2015 Mint 400, Oskar Blues will produce a custom Mint 400 can filled with Mama’s Little Yella Pils.
Founded as a brewpub by Dale Katechis in 1997, Oskar Blues Brewery launched the craft beer-in-a-can movement in 2002 using a tabletop machine that sealed a single can at a time.  Oskar Blues has a history in motorsports that includes a close relationship with Charlotte Motor Speedway and sponsorships of a three car Sprint Car team, a Nationwide NASCAR and Rocky Mountain Motorsports’ Late Model car.  Oskar Blues opened two new breweries in Longmont, CO and Brevard, NC, and the original Oskar Blues Grill and Brew remains in Lyons, CO.  Oskar Blues Brewery is the largest craft brewer in the country that exclusively cans their beers.

“Off-Road and beer go hand in hand. It’s the way we celebrate after a race.  You climb out of your race car and celebrate your finish by having beers with your team. Our goal is to partner with products that add value to the Mint 400 experience. We are big fans of the craft beer revolution and are thrilled to be working with Oskar Blues Brewery!  We chose them because we love their product and the fact that they have a true high quality American craft beer,” commented Matt Martelli, Mint 400 CEO.
“We are excited to join The Mint 400 as the official craft beer! We are looking forward to the event as well as becoming a part of off-road culture. Our full lineup of beers fit perfectly with The Mint 400 experience. We are producing a custom Mint 400 commemorative can that will surely become a collector’s item featuring our highly sessionable Mama’s Little Yella Pils,” stated Director of Sponsorships, Diana Ralston.

Oskar Blues’ out-of-the-box brews will be available at Contingency, all The Mint 400 parties, and the Primm Valley Mint 400 Start/Finish Line on race day.

About The Mint 400
The Mint 400 is the oldest, roughest, most spectacular, and most prestigious off-road race in America. It was started in Las Vegas in 1967 and became the marquee off-road race that every racer and celebrity dreamt of winning. Known as “The Great American Off-Road Race™” the legend lives on, as each year the greatest off-road racers from around the world battle each other, and the brutal Nevada racecourse for a chance to be a part of American racing history. Less than half of those competing will ever finish the unforgiving race! The Mint 400 is an epic 400-mile battle between twenty different classes of off-road race vehicles. But it’s more than just a race. An entire week of events lead up to the famed off-road contest in and around Las Vegas, including a vehicle parade, drivers meet and greet, pit crew challenge, Miss Mint 400 beauty pageant, multiple parties, qualifying time trials, and a world famous vehicle contingency that is attended by tens of thousands each year.

About Oskar Blues Brewery
Founded as a brewpub by Dale Katechis in 1997, Oskar Blues Brewery launched the craft beer-in-a-can apocalypse in 2002 using a tabletop machine that sealed one can at a time. In 2008, the makers of the top-selling pale ale in ColoRADo, Dale’s Pale Ale, moved into a 35,000-square-foot facility in Longmont, ColoRADo. The brewery has since experienced explosive growth-from packaging 59,000 barrels of beer in 2011 to 149,000 barrels in 2014. In December 2012, Oskar Blues opened the doors to an additional brewery in Brevard, North Carolina. Recently, Oskar Blues secured an additional 60,000 square feet at its Colorado location to allow additional production expansion. Oskar Blues now distributes trail-blazing craft brews to 41 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., as well as parts of Canada, Sweden, and the U.K.
