Polaris RZR Sweetens Pot for 2015 King of the Hammers

Minneapolis, December 30, 2014- The King of the Hammers (KOH) is known as the toughest off-road race in the world, and this year, the person who conquers the course will not only go home with “The Hammer,” but also a brand-new, 2015 RZR XP 1000 EPS. As part of Polaris RZR being the official side-by-side of the race, Polaris sweetened the deal by offering up a RZR XP 1000 EPS to the Pro Class side-by-side winner. Last year, 26 side-by-sides would vie for “The Hammer” with five-time Hammers Winner Mitch Guthrie winning in his RZR XP 1000 EPS.

This exciting, new event will feature two world championship UTV races including a Best In The Desert Championship points race, and a short course / motocross style Production UTV Championship race. Coastal Racing Takes Best in the Desert’s Henderson 250

Minneapolis, December 10, 2014-Best in the Desert’s Henderson 250 is the last BITD race of the year and would determine who would take the UTV championship this year. On the ATV side, Team UXC Racing would line up to make history with their Scrambler XP 1000 EPS. Jagged X’s Brandon Schueler in the No. 1919 RZR XP 1000 had the championship on the line with a small point cushion of just 13 points. Given the Henderson 250 is a “double points” race, anything could happen. When the dust cleared, Schueler would finish second giving him enough points for his second consecutive BITD Championship and the sixth over his career! Schueler would get edged out in the race by Scott Kiger and Mark Holz in the No. 1934 Coastal Racing RZR XP 1000 who would finish the series in a respectable second place. Jagged X’s Craig Scanlon in the No. 1931 RZR XP 1000 would come into the race in sixth place with a very-close points race separating third through sixth place. Scanlon would take a hard-fought third in the race to catapult him into a third place finish in the series, giving RZR a 1-2-3 finish for the 2014 race season.

Dalton Industries 2015+ Polaris 900 RZR EBS Clutch Kit

The EBS versions have different clutches on them. Engine braking is very valuable for some riders, and not necessary for others. It can be rider preference. The EBS versions were not calibrated as well from the factory, and clutching performance can be improved upon for stock or oversized tires. There are also adjustments to help with power losses from higher elevations. Accurate clutch calibration is important to belt life, performance, and backshifting in load conditions.

Dalton Industries 2015+ Polaris 900 RZR Clutch Kit

The standard clutch version (non ebs) of the 900 RZR / RZR S is quite well calibrated from the factory. Testing of the vehicle showed that for most typical trail / mixed use of the vehicle with stock (and most 26- 27") tires, the stock clutch calibration was fine and no clutch kit is necessary. For many, that means, save your money.This kit can be used when it is for sand dune use, or to help with power losses from higher elevations that are typically above 4000 ft.

Ontario, California, November 21, 2014 - The UTV Inc. / Lone Star Racing / FOX team of John Angal, Brian Bush, Branden Sims and Justin Quinn drove their No. 1919 Polaris RZR, equipped with 30-inch ITP Ultracross tires to the 2014 Tecate SCORE International Baja 1000 Class 19 victory in this past weekend in Baja California Sur, Mexico. ITP had five teams competing on the Mexican Peninsula, gunning for podium glory and a seeking to finish one the most grueling endurance races in the world.
