Yamaha Introduces New YXZ1000R and Wolverine SxS Special Edition Models

The new YXZ1000R SE features an all-new Silver Metallic and Blaze Red Metallic painted exterior and interior with color matched seats and A-arms, along with durable 14-inch true bead lock wheels to tackle terrain with style and function. The new YXZ1000R is Assembled in the USA at Yamaha’s factory in Newnan, Georgia, and is scheduled to arrive at Yamaha dealerships in April. MSRP is $21,599.

The entry-level Raptor serves up styling and a sporty ride reminiscent of its big brother, the Raptor 700, but at a size and performance level appropriate for younger first-time riders and budding enthusiasts.The new Raptor 90 mounts an 89.9cc air-cooled 4-stroke SOHC engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) on a newly designed lightweight chassis. The last decade has not been kind to Wolverines, whether it was the economic downturn felt by the Wolverine State of Michigan, the four-legged forest dweller, or the cellar dwellers of Big Ten football, the Michigan Wolverines. All three were seemingly on the brink of extinction, and even the comic book character Wolverine was killed off in recent months, but there may be hope on the horizon.

CYPRESS, Calif. – April 21, 2015 – Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, recently donated a new Special Edition Matte Silver Viking VI Side-by-Side (SxS) vehicle to the SEAL-Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation. The Assembled in USA Viking VI was auctioned at a Foundation fundraiser near San Diego, raising $22,000 for the organization’s mission of supporting SEAL members’ families. The SEAL-Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Family Foundation is a San Diego based 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funds for special programs in direct support of the NSW families on a local, national and global scale.
