No machine has played a bigger role or has had more impact for a wider variety of owners than the Polaris Ranger.  Before the Ranger, John Deere’s Gator and Kawasaki’s Mule were about the only choice for any serious, work capable utility vehicle.  Both the Gator and the Mule were solid performers on the farm or the job site, but weekend recreation was not their domain or even much of a consideration.  The new Ranger, however, offered the ability to haul everything from bricks to hay bales all week and camping, hunting, or fishing gear all weekend.

Curtis Introduces New PathPro Cab for John Deere HPX/XUV Series Utility Vehicles

Worcester, Massachusetts, August 2012 – For John Deere Gator owners who enjoy using their UTV in all climate conditions, Curtis Industries LLC has unveiled its newest addition to the PathPro line of cab enclosure systems for the HPX/XUV series of utility vehicles.  The all new steel cab enclosure mounts directly to the vehicles factory OPS without the need for additional equipment. The new PathPro cab system (part number 1GTRXUVAS) for the John Deere Gator XUV/HPX series utility vehicles offers improved ventilation with the use of wide, dual sliding windows in both the doors and rear panel, providing maximum airflow from all angles.  Unlike an all-glass cab system, the flexible flow-through ventilation eliminates any “greenhouse” effect to driver and passenger, keeping the interior of the cab cool and comfortable in all seasons. Its durable, venting glass windshield is manufactured with double-strength reinforced laminated glass and meets DOT safety recommendations.  This alleviates shattering on impact from branches or debris.  The laminated windshield offers a locking, venting position and includes a heavy-duty 12v wiper.

Last year we spent a couple days prowling around the woods of South Carolina on KYMCO’s UXV 500i and it performed extremely well crawling over downed timber, crossing streams and mud holes, and maneuvering through the tight trees.  This year we would be giving the UXV an entirely new challenge and rather than the Eastern woods, we would be taking it into some of the toughest, yet most beautiful terrain on the planet.  Saddle up for UTAH!
